COVID/IR35/BREXIT

In these incredibly difficult times we remain committed to providing the best possible service, the three non-industry related issues that are currently impacting everyone in one capacity or another are of course, the global COVID pandemic, the UK governments IR35 taxation changes and the challenges of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union.

We remain committed to supporting all of our customers throughout, it is vital that once borders are more freely accessible, restrictions reduce and the safe movement of people can start to return to a more familiar pattern, the aviation industry is positioned to be able to support the demand. We will always work with our clients to ensure the safest compliance methods are maintained, typically we hold an exempt status from the immediate quarantine regulations so we are more freely able to support ad-hoc projects. This is an incredibly difficult time and we understand that there are many varying views and experiences so we aim to work with the greatest care and sensitivity at all times.

As we are a UK registered business, there has been a newly implemented taxation system (known as IR35) which specifically impacts many consultants not only in the aviation industry but also in many other fields, essentially the regulation places the burden upon the “employer” to pay taxes to the UK government as though the consultant was a permanent employee. I can confirm that Aeroteam ltd are not subject to this regulation as we offer a peer-to-peer service, business-to-business. Unlike many individual consultants, we have business premises, we offer a variety of services to a number of customers and in the event your chosen team member is not available we are able to offer an equally qualified alternative by the same invoicing means. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your potential exposure to tax liability, please contact us directly.

BREXIT,  we have a very thorough grasp of this subject and have worked since 2016 to ensure that we are able to continue to offer the same support capacity before and after the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union. As such, we are able to, legally, support your project requirements within the UK and Europe without restriction. For your projects further afield, we have a business process to ensure we are able to move as expeditiously as possible to meet your requirements.
