Aircraft Survey

Aircraft survey

Proposal to conduct aircraft technical survey. Intent of the survey is to establish the condition of the aircraft in order to allow the owners to make a better-informed decision on course of maintenance.

Extent of the survey:

  • Review physical condition of the aircraft by zone.
  • Review components fitted that are visible.
  • GVI standard (general visual inspection) as far as reasonably permitted to identify obvious defects, completeness and correctness of assembly and any visible deficiencies
  • Summary report of the conducted survey.

It would be assumed that the aircraft does not have electrical or hydraulic power and any survey would be carried out in “as-is” condition, the survey shall not include functional/operational checks, NDT or borescope inspections. The survey will not be carried out as an EASA pt 145 function and will not be considered as an inspection for certification purposes.
